Yuko Kurihara thoroughly observes familiar motifs that fascinate her, such as fruits, vegetables, and plants, and faithfully depicts the interesting colors she finds in them. Her bold compositions, richly colored and freshly painted, captivate the viewer.

1976 Born in Japan. Lived in Singapore for elementary school, Chiba for junior high school, and the U.S. for high school.
1998 Graduated from University of Tsukuba, Japanese Painting Course. Received the University of Tsukuba Art Prize for graduation work
